Symposium, just an excuse to wine and dine...

There's a day long P.I symposium for our institute when some of the principal investigators would give the research community here an insight of what they have been doing..
However to us, the 3 buffet breaks should be more of the attraction...
Gave the morning session a miss due to ease some of the work pile-up from yesterday, and managed to complete everything just before the half past 10 mark so as to be on time for the tea break which we stuffed ourselves with tasty curry puffs downed with milk tea...
We stayed on to support our P.I who gave all researchers an idea how abusive they are to our service, well with JxMMy D around, he is born to serve and been push around... Some of the classic quotes that our supervisor brought up are still fresh in my memories...
Then came a very satisfying lunch but by then I was terribly stuffed and we took the opportunity to spot the assortment of co-workers (all of whom we have designated a unique nickname each for recognition purpose) whom we rarely had a chance to see now that our labs are all segregated to the 8 different levels in the building...
Back to work, an unexpected discontinuation of a certain purification kit left us handicapped with our usual work process, and thus lazed about till 3 plus again for the afternoon tea...
Man, could not imagine taking so many meals a day, since I'm no more in my puberty stage, and the extra food residues surely adds on to around my tummy, thighs, neck, and which ever area the fat cells could squirm their way through....
Even many of the China vultures do not even bother to take their usual flight in for whatever food they could find by then...
The big news from our Parliment yesterday was that the government finally stamp their approval for the amusement centers in Singapore with casinos included in the package..they even thougt of plenty of measures to deter local gamblers and aim for more foreign based ones...
well for me I would not pay $100 for each trip only to lose even more money in the process... I rather spend my time playing my latest Football Manager game, like I am going to now.... seeya
