The Final Decision...

30th November 2005, Wednesday

Welcome to another episode of "Go Where to Yum Seng"...
In this episode, our half-hearted groom had a change of heart with the restaurant selection when he was been enlightened to check out the list of restaurants under the Tung Lok group and he had his eyes immediately on one simply known as the "Noble Restaurant"...
Firstly the venue is aptly located just at the entrance of the Raffles Place MRT station. Next the price range looks appealing especially the "Deluxe" set for weekends at $588 per table.
So he proudly advocate it in front of his family and immediately received stamp of approvals all round.
Happily, he waited around lunch the next day to dial in to enquire on the availability and got a tight slap on his face as the date has been taken...bummer...
He wasted no time to call his lass to whine about the whole thing as they went in search of more ideal venues for just one simple wedding banquet.
Prima Tower would definitely be in contention due to their availability and perhaps the last threat "first come first serve, hor" has much more weight in it.
Other likely candidates include Noble House long-lost sibling at Liang Court, simply known as "Tung Lok Restuarant" which offers about the same thing but at a slightly higher cost.
The bride-to-be made contact with Yunnan (nothing to do with hair recovery therapy) Garden Restuarant which is located at IMM building (much to the joy of the western base guests) while a nice ambience known as "Blissful Garden" would definitely have guests kicking mud in your face for cajoling them to Singapore Expo on a Sunday evening when work beckons the following day.
One highly probable choice now has to be Chengdu Restaurant, situated in Cavenagh Road just behind Starhub Center which is quite friendly to respond (perhaps poor business..) and most importantly the availability for that date for the big ceremony.

Which one would be the final choice for the pair?

Will they find the most ideal one that is ideally & conveniently located, serving tasty cuisine that guests would savour long after the banquet is finished as well as not wrecking a huge chasm in the stingy groom's pocket?

Stay tuned to this space for the result real soon...

Japanese word of the day: 特別 ~to-ku-be-tsu~ (Special) One of the toughest assignment in planning a wedding has to be finding the banquet restaurant which is the most special one...
